With the 2021 season barely a month away, several NASCAR teams are steadily unveiling their 2021 colors. The Hendrick Motorsports team is the latest one to reveal their new look. To be precise, they showed off the colors of the #24 car of William Byron.

At a first glance, it looks pretty colorful, to say the least. The Axalta-sponsored ride looks as it Byron drove the car straight into a rainbow. Considering that Axalta is a paint coatings provider, the resplendent livery is an accurate representation of the brand. The base color of the livery is black, with huge splashes of red, yellow, green and blue.

Right on the hood of the car is the giant Axalta logo, with another one situated on the side. Admittedly, there does not seem to be any other sponsor logo on the car. However, there is still a lot of time to secure a couple more sponsor logos on the #24 Chevrolet.

The Hendrick Motorsports team is regarded as one of the best NASCAR teams. Last season, he took his debut win at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, but ended the season in 14th. In other words, barring Jimmie Johnson, he was the lowest Hendrick driver.

It is also worth noting that Byron also unveiled his Liberty University paint scheme and overalls. The two will link up for 12 races annually on a 2-year deal.

“We have been by William Byron’s side as he’s risen through the ranks at a young age, and it is an honor to continue to support one of our very own in his career,” Liberty President Jerry Falwell said. “William and Hendrick Motorsports have always been a perfect fit for Liberty University. We share the same values and are committed to the same mission that makes champions on the racetrack and champions in life.”

In the new season, William Byron is partnering with Rudy Fugle as his crew chief. The 36-year old crew chief spent eight years with Kyle Busch Motorsports before moving to Hendrick Motorsports. Given his experience, Byron will be glad to have Fugle by his side.
