The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season was rife with plenty of action. This included a number of on-track incidents between the drivers. One of the most notable spats was between Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick, and it got ugly on a few occasions. After Elliott managed to eliminate Harvick from Playoff contention, he got very cheeky. He quipped, ‘Have a Merry Off Season and a Happy Christmas!’.
The whole drama kicked off at Bristol when they traded paint many times. In the end, a furious Harvick confronted the defending Cup Series champion and heated words were exchanged. In the end, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver ended up 2nd but badly wanted the win. The ‘Merry Off Season’ jab came at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. Suffice to say, Harvick was not impressed in the slightest.

Now, Elliott seems to have taken a page from teammate Alex Bowman’s book. To be precise, he plastered the insult onto a T-shirt and shipped it off for sale. Of course, Chase Elliott will probably have to substitute T-shirts for sweaters and jackets because of the season.

To the delight of everyone, Christmas is just around the corner, so the paddock will have time to enjoy themselves. However, once that and New Year’s Day passes, they will be back on the grind once again. The Hendrick Motorsports team is aware that although they were one of the strongest teams before, the Next Gen cars have practically wiped the slate clean.
So, it will be up to them to try to re-assert their dominance. Obviously, the likes of Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas are not to be underestimated. Kevin Harvick will also be hoping to turn around his winless 2021 season and try to reach Victory Lane next year.
