It was the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, but the drama was far from scripted. Two Hendrick Motorsports titans, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson, collided on pit road, leaving fans and experts excited and bewildered. And Kenny Wallace, a veteran voice in NASCAR, didn’t hold back.
During Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, Brad Keselowski pulled out of his pit stall and directly into the action. The unsuspecting Larson swerved to the right, hitting teammate Elliott, who had nowhere to go thanks to Tyler Reddick. Moments later, in a chaotic turn of events, Elliott swerved into Larson as they rejoined the track. Now, here’s where it gets spicy.

Chase Elliott, the golden boy of NASCAR, found himself in a situation that would make anyone’s blood boil. A whole season without a single win, and then, an incident not even his fault snatches away his victory in Kansas. Read on to learn how Kenny Wallace’s take is a gasoline shot on an already flaring rivalry.
Kenny Wallace commented on the chaos, “Alright, let’s get right to the drama. What is going on with Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson? You know, you got, you got an order at Hendricks. You got a battle for who’s the ace right? Both are champions. Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson are both champions.”
“Then you got William Byron who can be a champion. He’s a winner and you got Alex Bowman and they’re a winner. But, look, I know Chase Elliott is the most famous driver, no doubt, but listen, Kyle Larson is the greatest driver in our era.” Wallace stated.
If Elliott is the poster boy of Hendrick Motorsports, is Larson the untamed talent threatening to steal the spotlight? This public endorsement from Wallace could be the start of an even bigger intra-team showdown.

Chase Elliott appeared on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio two days later to defuse the tension. Elliott, never one to mince words, insisted there was no beef between him and Larson.
“We obviously ran into each other on pit road, and I didn’t have the full picture of what went on, so I was frustrated. That stuff happens, for sure. But at the end of the day, I’ll certainly take the blame for my frustration on that front.” Chase stated.
Despite the heated moments, Larson finished fourth, while Elliott, not in contention for the driver’s championship, placed sixth. Larson is set to advance to the second round of the playoffs. In contrast, Elliott is eyeing the owner’s championship with his No. 9 Chevrolet.
