After the first race of the Round of 16 at Darlington, it is Hendrick Motorsports speedster Kyle Larson, who became the first person to enter the Round of 12 after a clinical win. With just two more races in this stage, the fate of 15 more drivers still hangs by a thread. Stuck between two of the most historic tracks of Darlington and Bristol, Kansas Speedway is sure to deliver a high-octane drama to the audience. However, the question that arises at this point is who shall be the probable winner on this track?
It was Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin, who clinched the chequered in the spring race, but will he be able to defend his crown? While that is to be seen on Sunday, Hendrick Motorsports insider believes that Kansas will be a tough nut to crack for the RFK Racing drivers.

Hard work surely pays off and RFK Racing stands testament to that. A team that had dwindled down with no sight of success has exhibited what resurgence looks like. With a victory at Richmond rolling down the carpet of a clinical narrative, Brad Keselowski’s co-owned team has reinforced that they are here to contend for the championship and settle for nothing less.
What seemed like a far-fetched dream months back has now materialized. With both the drivers in the Round of 16, they has two more races left to prove their championship worth. The two tracks being Kansas and Bristol. While aiming for a win at Bristol seems to be a daunting task, Kansas Speedway is conducive for the RFK Raving drivers, especially for the emerging star of the team Chris Buescher.
However, it seems that Hendrick Motorsports veteran and former crew chief Steve Letarte has a different school of thought. He considers that Buescher might falter at the tracks of Kansas unless stars are aligned for him. In his interview with NBC pit reporters, delving into the picture of playoffs, Letarte expressed his thoughts on Chris Buescher’s shot at winning. He stated, “Buescher, he is on no one’s bingo card and he always ends up in victory lane.”

As things stand, both the RFK Racing drivers sit well above the cut-line after a daring race at Darlington, especially for Chris Buescher and his pit crew.
An Unfortunate event threatened to destroy the hard work of the team. During one of the pit stops in Stage 2, fire engulfed the rear end of the car and also reached the rear tyre changer, after sparks flew and ignited the spilled fuel. However, the crew member did not back out and completed his designated task before extinguishing the fire. The incident drew huge attention and also accolades for the member for his bravery.
However, in an interview with the RFK Racing, one of the members expressed, “You don’t want to be considered a hero because, technically, we made a mistake. But to correct it was really a heads up. I think that’s one of the things about being a professional is that there is a level of expectation of yourself that you have.”
