During the Nashville Awards ceremony, a Hendrick Motorsports driver attempted to get in wearing casual attire. However, the security personnel stopped him. Thereafter, he attempted to borrow a pair of socks from his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson, but he was denied that too. Later on, he hilariously took a dig at Larson.

Last year Alex Bowman tweeted, “Next year I’m just gonna wear a hoodie and vans.“ However, when he attempted to pull it off this year around, security did not permit him inside. He then tweeted, “They wouldn’t let me in. Big sad“
Later on, a journalist asked Bowman about his tweet. The Hendrick Motorsports driver responded, “a year ago I said I was coming back in a hoodie and Vans. And security won’t let me through the door. We have NASCAR proms the week after Thanksgiving. All my stuff fits, I forgot to bring long socks. I tried to borrow socks from Kyle Larson. But he wouldn’t let me. So not a very good teammate, but that’s alright.”
The journalist jokingly asked if Kyle’s socks were suitable to be borrowed. Bowman said, “I don’t want to think about it. (laughs) I mean my head hurt.”

After failing to secure a pair of long socks from his teammate, Larson. He was visibly wearing a pair of regular running socks while on the red carpet. After all, he never intended to show up in a suit and, with his plans foiled, he had to settle for what remained.
During the red carpet interview, Bowman confessed he was wearing regular socks to the event. When asked why he did not go out to buy one. Bowman responded that he remembered not having the long socks just five minutes before the event began.

Apparently, after being denied by Larson, his other Hendrick Motorsports teammate, William Byron apparently had an extra pair. However, Byron himself was running door to door to find someone who could help him with his necktie. With all options down the drain, Bowman showed up with whatever he had with him.
