Two NASCAR stars playfully joined forces in an amusing and lighthearted game with the illustrious Hendrick Motorsports team. Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson decided to poke fun at their teammate for his notorious habit of forgetting where he parked his car.

The hilarious game showcased the lighter side of the Hendrick Motorsports team, whose remarkable feats on the racetrack are often supplanted by a camaraderie that extends beyond the intense racing world. Their ability to laugh together and tease each other highlights the strong bonds within the garage that have propelled the team to unparalleled success in the NASCAR circuit.

The game, which offered a glimpse into the camaraderie among the teammates, started innocently enough with the host asking, “[Who is] most likely to forget where they parked their car?” Elliott cheekily held up William Byron’s name card without hesitation, and the young driver admitted, “Probably me.”

As the room erupted in laughter, Alex Bowman playfully held up William’s card, solidifying the playful accusation. However, Kyle Larson chimed in, offering himself as a potential candidate for this forgetful mishap, saying, “I feel like we both don’t have very much common sense, and it would be a toss-up between me and William.”

Amid the laughter and camaraderie, Alex Bowman humorously added, “It happened! I watched it happen,” further confirming the amusing anecdotes about their forgetful parking escapades. Chase Elliott playfully agreed with this dramatic chaos as well.

As the playful banter continued, William Byron recounted a past memory of receiving an award for getting lost in a parking lot in high school, garnering more chuckles from his teammates. Elliott couldn’t resist a friendly dig at Byron, saying, “He’s pretty sure he’s sharp,” poking fun at his teammate’s self-assuredness despite occasional parking struggles.

The culture of taking funny digs at one another is nothing new at the HMS garage. After all, they are carrying forward the legacy of HMS VC Jeff Gordon. One of the earliest stints of prankster Gordon happened in a Pepsi commercial. Gordon dressed up as a test driver and came to pick a random person up at their door. Around that time, in 2014, following the footsteps of the media-savvy VC, Alex Bowman took a tour around the infields of the Charlotte Motor Speedway disguised as a reporter.

Interesting fact: There were an inordinate number of rookies that season.

When asked who knows most about the rookies that year by the star-in-disguise, either fans had no knowledge about them or names such as Larson and Dillon started popping up.

Shenanigans hit the climax when a fan casually insulted the reporter. One of the fans thought that the #48 Chevy star was still working his way up to the Cup Series. They stated, “He [Bowman] was coming on strong in Nationwide last year but…he’s got a long way to go in the Cup Series.”

Once Bowman revealed his identity, fans laughed uncontrollably. One fan couldn’t contain his amusement and walked away laughing. Bowman had a rather funny thing to say to that: “Hashtag Gotcha!”
