The way this NASCAR season has shaped up, one thing is for sure, you cannot predict a winner as surely as you’d have before the Next Gen era. Having said that, there’s one driver who you can bet on anytime to win a race. That driver is none other than Kyle Larson.

And heading into Sonoma this weekend, which also happens to be his home race, Larson is the de facto favorite.

But how does he feel about the upcoming race in front of his home crowd, especially after the facility made some changes?

Well, the man himself revealed how he feels about the new layout of the track.

“I think it will be very similar to those races. I don’t know, I really enjoyed the carousel, having a left-hander was fun, and I felt like the corner was cool because it opened up some more passing zones throughout that corner and then leading into the next one,” Larson said.

“I don’t know the reasoning behind shifting the course back to what it used to be. Maybe I’m assuming the crowd, maybe the viewing could see more from the other layout better,” he continued.

“Either it’s a fun place. It’s home for me and I’m excited to be back.”
