Oh, boy! Finally, the much-anticipated Superspeedway race at Nashville has concluded. The race had all the elements for a Sunday entertainer. It had several one-on-one battles, a great finish from Ross Chastain, and also had the occasional dramatic stunts. And one such incident was between Kaulig Racing veteran, AJ Allmendinger and HMS speedster, Alex Bowman.
While Allmendinger put a fantastic pace at Tennessee Lottery 250, taking home the victory, his Cup Series venture on Sunday was more like a high-speed chess match inside the oval. Going full throttle, passing one car after another, he indulged in a one-on-one battle with Bowman. The HMS spotter gave out crucial advice in an explicit manner, mocking the Kaulig Racing driver.

Sunday’s race was indeed an action-packed adventure, with all the bells and whistles for a thriller. While Kaulig Racing driver, Allmendinger got the win in Xfinity Series, his Cup Series run wasn’t what he had anticipated it to be. With drivers fiercely competing for the top position, Allmendinger and HMS ace Alex Bowman crossed paths when both drivers were eyeing P11.
With the rest of the pack closely behind them, they both got into an intense battle, with each one looking for openings to hammer forward. This urged the #48 Hendrick Motorsports spotter, Kevin Hamlin, to jump in with timely advice for Bowman.
Hamlin simply pointed out the Kaulig Racing driver’s reputation for choking at the end and asked Bowman to stay aggressive but smart. As Allmendinger eyed P11, Hamlin said, “Be smart with him, because he’ll end up stepping on his d*ck at some point.”
While Jeff Gluck, a journalist at Athletic.com, was the one to highlight the hilarious message from the spotter as he tweeted out to his followers, fans joined in on the fun, actively discussing the incident.

AJ Allmendinger over the years has sort of garnered an infamous reputation for fading into the rest as the race went on, though the driver from time to time has proved his skill, the #16 driver finished the race 10th while the HMS driver could only finish the race 17th despite the spotter’s timely advice as the #16 driver’s experience prevailed over Bowman’s speed.
The Twitter comment section was quite active at this point, as fans chimed in with their comments. As one fan wrote the spotter’s advice to be the funniest, “This is the funniest spotter input I have ever heard”
“I like dinger, but that’s funny as sh*t”
While another fan lauded Kevin Hamlin for the epic quote, “What a quote”
Soon animated GIFs dropped in from fans that summed up the mood perfectly.
