Five decades – that is how long Ken Schrader has dedicated himself to racing. For him, any time of the day or night can sanction taking the wheel of a race car. From when he raced a Chevy hobby car with his father and brother to achieving laurels across series including NASCAR’s three national series, Schrader’s racing milestones are endless. For instance, he became the first driver ever to post wins (seven) in the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series when he won a 1995 Truck race at Saugus Speedway in California.

Besides NASCAR, he owns two USAC championship titles in 1982-1983 along with 21 wins in Midgets. Ken Schrader also has a prestigious resume in the ARCA Menards Series. He also clinched three consecutive Daytona 500 poles in the 1990s. So an Xfinity veteran grandly congratulated him as Schrader was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. Kenny Wallace posted photos with the legend and captioned: “Celebrating our hero, Kenny Schrader tonight at the St. Louis sports Hall of Fame. He is going in with some great athletes.”

His tireless racing efforts stand testimony to these laurels, as he won a Freshstone Dirt Classic race in NASCAR’s Pinty Series in Canada in 2023.
