For racers, not being able to hit the track could be a major setback. This is exactly what has been going on with Treyten Lapcevich. The Canada native now finds himself in a difficult situation given that he has not been able to secure much for the 2025 season. Even after claiming the 2023 NASCAR Pinty Series Championship, this season has been an unfortunate one for Lapcevich.
As of now, he does not have a confirmed ride for the 2025 season, which could lead to a momentary void in his career. While he might not be at the best shape of his mind, the racer has garnered the support of his fan community.

2025 might not be the ideal year for Treyten Lapcevich
It was in 2020 that Treyten Lapcevich first made his entry into the world of NASCAR with the exceptional Pinty Series. He made his debut at Sunset Speedway, stepping in for Alex Tagliani in the No. 18 car. Despite being a substitute, Lapcevich showcased his raw talent. He finished with an impressive 2nd-place finish in his very first race. This was just a small preview of the success to come.
Speaking of the journey, Lapcevich said, “Many people have been asking about my plans for this season, and I’ve been saying it’s coming… and I really thought it was too. There were some big things in the works, even as of yesterday morning but it just didn’t work out. At this time, I’m not sure what the year holds, but I’ll be grateful to be in any type of racecar. My career is going to make a great story one day lol. It’s a tough sport, but the dream rolls on. Gotta have some grit! I’ll keep everyone updated.”
In 2021, Lapcevich transitioned to full-time competition in the No. 20 car. However, it wasn’t with the NASCAR Xfinity Series as most drivers choose to begin with. This consequently solidified him as a driver to watch. This is also the season that he delivered consistent performances with 7 Top 10s and 5 Top 5s. His standout moment came at Delaware Speedway. This is when he secured a career-best 2nd-place finish in the first of three races held at the track. However, this season did not turn in his favor.

The 2022 season was a turning point for Lapcevich which marked his first career victory at Sunset Speedway in the NTN Ultimate Bearings 250. This is where he started 2nd, led two laps, and held on for the win. A dramatic victory came over at Ohsweken Speedway. In a thrilling final-lap battle, Lapcevich passed teammate Stewart Friesen in Turn 3 to take the checkered flag, leading 49 laps to close the race. The season marked a new high for Lapcevich, as he racked up 10 Top 10s and 7 Top 5s, cementing his reputation as a championship contender. In 2023, Lapcevich ended with a victory at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
In spite of the impressive run, for the last few years, this time Lapcevich does not see a seat, all thanks to the concurrent issues with sponsors. His post has made it clear that while there was a discussion with a certain sponsor, things did not blossom further for an effective partnership. This leaves Lapcevich without room to prove his worth.
