Calling Richard Petty a living legend in NASCAR is a major understatement. Even at 85, the seven-time champ is making strides in the industry but now as a team owner.
But 85 is quite the age, maybe even too old to still be active as some fans fear it could affect his health. However, Legacy Motorsports made everyone fear the absolute worst with their last post.
The newly renamed team included another seven-time champion, Jimmie Johnson, in their ranks. The team’s Instagram page wanted to innocently appreciate Petty with a picture of him smiling. But the admin thought it was a good idea to post the picture in black and white.

Or just an innocent post that was misinterpreted?

NASCAR fans were not happy about the Richard Petty health scare
Now we know it was just a post for national hat day. But every fan assumed the worst and was pretty heartbroken until they saw the caption. In fact, the fans even commented, “My soul nearly left my body”.

The clearly unhappy fans asked the page to comply and stop posting black-and-white pictures of the legend.
