This was the case recently when Richard Childress’s grandson, Austin Dillon found himself at the center of a horrifying crash during the chaotic Chicago race, which eventually triggered criticism from fans, regarding his poor performance this season in comparison to Kyle Busch’s 3 victories and alleged lack of talent.

As the race in Chicago neared the end with less than 14 laps to go, RCR driver Austin Dillon found himself in a promising position, running ahead of top contenders Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch, who were at the third and fourth positions. However, on Lap 61, disaster struck Dillon as he lost control of his car and slammed into the inside tire wall, causing severe damage to his vehicle and effectively ending his hopes of completing the race.

While this unfortunate incident ended his chances of securing a victory, he has also faced strong criticism from fans for failing to keep up with his fellow team driver, Kyle Busch, who has already managed to secure his place in the playoffs this season along with several race wins.
