Kyle Busch comes from a family of racers, with his father Tom, and brother Kurt Busch, also being keen racing enthusiasts. From watching his father drive a race car, to driving a race car himself and now witnessing his son doing the same at The Bullring, the Busch family now has a third-generation racer in Brexton Busch. Last weekend, apart from Kyle Busch pulling off triple duties across different series, Brexton Busch also showed off his racing skills for the first time at The Bullring in Las Vegas. Notably, Kyle Busch recently admitted to being ‘hard’ on his 7-year-old son while answering the most common question among racing dads.
NASCAR on Fox’s Jamie Little recently joined the father-son duo of Kyle Busch and Brexton for the Bandolero practice before The Bullring trophy race. During the session, the two-time Cup Series champ answered an array of questions regarding the racing connection between him and his son.
Kyle Busch shares thoughts on mentoring his son

While talking to NASCAR on Fox’s Jamie Little, Kyle Busch shared that it was fun to see his son following in his footsteps and witnessing him drive for the first time at the Bullring. He talked about mentoring Brexton to become a great racer like himself. Moreover, Kyle Busch revealed that he did not try to pressurize his son and encouraged him to give his best.

The Richard Childress Racing driver emphasized teaching his son that putting in the effort was more important than winning. Busch added, “I try to be hard on him in a sense of just knowing about effort. Try to teach that word.”
Further, Little asked Kyle Busch about how he managed to make the young Brexton listen to him. In response, the #8 Chevy driver reckoned, “Other dads ask me that all the time. They’re like, ‘How do you get your kid to listen to you?’. I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’

Moreover, Busch shared why he thought Brexton listened and followed the instructions which are crucial to his growth as a racing driver. The 37-year-old said, “I guess he just listens because he knows what I’ve done, right? He listens because he knows what I’m talking about.”
