It seems like the frustration really got to the otherwise calm and composed head of Kyle Larson in Charlotte. The Hendrick Motorsports ace headed to the Coca Cola 600 hunting for his second win of the season. However, things didn’t go as per plan. At least in the first half.
This led the defending Cup Series champion to jump on his radio and pity his own luck on two different occasions. Once, he was heard saying, “I think this has been the worst race of my life and we’re not even halfway.”

However, it was the other radio message of Larson that more or less earned him comparisons to Ferrari F1’s main man, Charles Leclerc, who also had a frustrating race in Monaco on Sunday.
“I just spun. I suck. Me. The driver. I suck,” the #5 driver told his crew chief over the radio.
That’s got leclerc “I am stupid” written all over that 😂

What did Kyle Larson think of this year’s Coca-Cola 600?
In a post-race interview, Kyle Larson was confronted with his own comments about whether he still thought, after climbing his way back in the second half to get in the contention to win the race, if his race was as bad as his words on the radio suggested.

“The first half, it was terrible. Thankfully, it was a 600-mile race and you could kind of regroup and get back after the second half,” he said.
The HMS driver then went on to describe why this year’s Coke 600 was “much better” than what we had at our hands last year. “I thought the lack of resin on the track was really good. We could move around some,” Kyle Larson said.

“I thought it was pretty good racing, I don’t know how it came across on TV, but a lot better than last year’s racing.”
