As the off-season kicks in, Kyle Busch finds himself slowly settling into his new team at Richard Childress Racing. After the end of 15-year-long partnership, Busch’s transition to RCR seems like a form of rejuvenation for the two-time Cup Series Champion. Busch’s 2023 teammate, recently explained how it felt with Busch coming around to RCR.

Dillon said, “He is already wearing everybody out about, ‘hey, we’ve got to be ready to go,’ so that fire is definitely there, and that’s what you want to see.”
Busch had grown overly frustrated with his previous team, JGR after they were unable to secure him another sponsor following the exit of M&Ms. Moreover, his final few races with JGR were so poor that he did not even had a chance to compete in the playoffs till the end.

Reddick was bound to leave for 23XI Racing for the 2024 season. However, since Kyle Busch was announced for RCR in 2023, taking over the 8-car, Reddick was brought into 23XI Racing a year earlier than planned.
The announcement of Kurt Busch’s retirement from full-time racing in the Cup Series, owing to his head injuries from a crash prior in the season, the 45 car had a vacant seat. Reddick’s early arrival into the team means he would partner with Bubba Wallace in the 45 car.
