Kligerman’s story is nothing short of astonishing. The fact that his passion has persisted and he has found ways and seats and opportunities year after year amidst the uncertainty, amidst no team giving him a full-time seat, and now winning a race, it’s nothing short of astonishing indeed.

So it’s only natural that the NASCAR community not only acknowledged Kligerman’s win but also saluted him for his personality, his passion, and of course, his racing talent.

Think about it, if the guy who was battling you for the win praises you after losing to you, that’s gotta mean something.

“It’s hard to put into words [what this means], I was pretty emotional on the cool-down lap because this whole team, it’s like a team of second chances,” Kligerman said. “Two years ago, I thought my driving days were done. This team gave me a call, wanting to get back racing, and it’s just been a steady improvement.”

Kligerman emphasized on how unbelievable it is what a talented group of humans can achieve when put together with the same goal. “This is a small team that ‘could,’ but we’re not a small team that doesn’t win,’’ Kligerman said.
