He mentioned, “Well no it’s my first race in the truck over 50 laps. I mean we’re in the late model couple times 100 laps but nothing in the truck over 50. So we’ll see.”

Having previously competed in late models, he acknowledges the significant difference in handling the trucks. Ross said, “Yeah, I mean the late models are so much easier to drive and these things are just you really have to fight them. And then 200 laps there’s gonna be a long race.” Undeterred by the task ahead, Chastain confidently geared up for the demanding 200-lap race.
