What exactly happened on the track that caused heat between Bubba fans and NASCAR critics?

On Saturday the 24th, the qualifying race for the NASCAR Cup series at Nashville was won by Ross Chastain, getting himself the first pole. With experience driving in more than 199 races in the last ten years, this was his first career race for the NASCAR Cup series. Some fans believe that Chastain was just lucky to win the first spot because of Bubba Wallace’s spin-off. Things went wrong for Bubba at the track; in the second round, that’s when the viral moment happened.

Bubba Wallace was about to win his second career pole, but then all of a sudden, he got sideways on the exit corner and spun his 23XI Toyota around the field. This gave Chastain a chance to attain the top starting spot, winning the qualification race with a time-lap of 29.797 seconds.

Crossing the finish line, Wallace acquired the 9th spot, slightly ahead of Daniel Suarez. When Bubba spun off into the field, people in the stands were seen cheering up at the Cup Champion. Even though Bubba qualified for Ally 400, NASCAR fans were more interested in debating on the “cheering.” This is what led to another controversial fan fight between NASCAR followers and Bubba’s fans.
