The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season saw many firsts. Goodyear’s tire mystery and the NASCAR lawsuit aside, we saw some good, hard racing by a rookie. Carson Hocevar is the 21-year-old phenom at stock car racing’s premier level. He proved that Spire Motorsports’ decision in October 2023 was amazing. After roping him in, the team saw Hocevar clinch 6 top-tens 1 top-five in his debut season. However, Hocevar’s personal life may not be so stellar.
The Portage, Michigan native’s motorsports interests have trickled into his love life. Between 2020 and 2024, Hocevar was dating Peyton Lamphear, a street stock racer who won the Thunder Road Speedbowl at the mere age of 15. Hocevar’s current love interest, Holley Hollan, is also a fourth-generation racer – but is she still around him?

Well, this is purely speculative, as the two lovebirds posted publicly barely a month ago. Holley Hollan also has speed in her veins – she has been racing micros since she was 5. Her USAC heat race wins and POWRI League achievements drew her to her partner’s NASCAR activities. Hollan reached Phoenix Raceway to watch Carson Hocevar race his Cup Series rivals. They had posted a series of adorable pictures together, enjoying the racetrack after the 2024 Rookie of the Year wrapped up his season activities.
However, that event no longer has a place in her social media feed. Holley Hollan evidently updated her Instagram profile. Notably, her posts no longer carry any reference to Carson Hocevar. This is a surprising update, given the couple’s recent outing together. Hollan had captioned her outing with Hocevar during Phoenix’s penultimate race day, which also happened to be her birthday. “23!!!!! 🤍 the best birthday weekend in phx,” she wrote. Yet now we cannot see that anymore – so has Hollan moved on from Hocevar?
Who knows, this is probably speculation and nothing more. Carson Hocevar had separated from his previous girlfriend, Peyton Lamphear, also under unknown circumstances. They met through racing in 2020, following which Lamphear was diagnosed with cancer. When she won her health battle in 2022, Hocevar rooted for her-“Cancer is very tough thing to watch and can only imagine dealing first hand with it. however, my favorite person beat this battle today. officially cancer free!” Yet Hocevar and Lamphear parted ways this year when we got to know the Cup Series phenom is dating Hollan.
Carson Hocevar can also draw boundaries in his racing career, which on the other hand has good results.

We are not sure about his seemingly bumpy personal life. However, we do know about Carson Hocevar’s soaring racing talents. Everybody knows the youngster’s jaw-dropping achievements. He took home the Outlaw Late Model Championship merely at 12 years old. Driving in the Craftsman Truck Series, Hocevar bagged 4 wins and over 30 top-ten finishes. So he jumped directly to the Cup Series without doing a role in Xfinity – and with good reason. Hocevar got a whole year of experience on a simulator as the sim driver for Trackhouse Racing. And that worked wonders for his new venture in the Cup Series, which kicked off in October 2023.
Hocevar’s time with Trackhouse helped him carve out his Cup talent. “I went to every racetrack (virtually) and prepped. My job was not to go make the fastest lap time, it was “Match Ross Chastain and match Daniel Suárez with their driving styles and tell us what the car drives like.” As it turned out, Carson Hocevar preferred a Cup car over an Xfinity car. “I felt more comfortable within the first lap of driving a Cup car than I did at the end of the first race I drove in Xfinity. Within three laps at Gateway in a Cup car (in 2023), I literally remember being like, ‘Oh, this isn’t that hard. It’s basically the same as the simulator.'”

Evidently, separating himself from Xfinity is working out for Carson Hocevar. We would not know if the same approach is working in his love life unless developments appear in the future.
