Hailie Deegan is all set to begin her IndyCar journey from the 2025 season and time is ticking with March being just a few weeks away. After she parted ways with the NASCAR world, Deegan officially announced her latest endeavor. While she is now preparing for her debut, she often takes to her YouTube channel and shares videos about how she has been spending time. 

Deegan’s younger brother, Hudson, has a love for the world of motorsports just like his elder sibling. Recently, Deegan shared a video of Hudson sporting an open wheel and it did put forth her frustration as well.

Just like any other older sibling, it is a normal instinct to push the little ones of the family so that they can actualize their dreams and achieve their potential. Hailie is no deviation from the same feeling. When she headed out for the Go Pro Motorplex to practice with her Tag Car, she called in Hudson, who was in the North Carolina area. 

While the car is unique, it offers an amazing experience, and especially for someone who has driven simpler cars, trying hands at an advanced model is an added benefit. Speaking of his prior experience, Hailie said, “ I grabbed Chase’s gear for him and stuff, got my extra helmet, and he’s going to come drive my tag car for the first time. He’s only ever driven the go-kart at the house. That’s the closest thing he’s gotten to a faster go-kart than, like, a K1 Speed or something. Those ones are like Briggs and Strat motors or, like, a predator motor. The ones at the house are significantly slower. So today, I’m putting him in my new tag car. Probably not the smartest idea, but he’ll have fun. I know he’ll enjoy it. He’ll probably wreck a few times—hopefully not too bad”.

Being the ultimate big sister, Hailie Deegan hit the tracks first herself and then chalked out the map for Hudson so that he was better able to understand the track. She even gave him advice about how he should be getting into the track and tires are not going to support him unless they get some kind of heat from the drive. However, despite such detailed instructions, Hudson wasn’t able to make it count. He kept going off the track and being spun out. Frustrated, Hailie said, “Boy, practice your driving. See, everyone has the same reaction as I do to this. Everyone might think I’m overplaying it, but I’m not”.

For someone who has just hit the tracks, it is quite natural that Hudson doesn’t want to listen and explore his own style. Yet, Hailie, being the elder sister and quite a prominent name in motorsports, has her own clever bits to share with her younger brother. Hudson’s first encounter with the tracks might not have been very favorable, but surely practice makes a man perfect!

Hailie does not have only one brother. Apart from Hudson, there is also Haiden who has already entered the world of racing more formally. Haiden competes both across motocross and Supercross and Hailie was seen in the month of September cheering for her beloved brother. During the SMX World Championship, Hailie Deegan was in the stands, cheering her lungs out for Haiden. 

Haiden Deegan has already made history. He has won back-to-back 250 SMX World Championship titles in 2023 and 2024. Earlier this year, he also claimed the Pro Motocross championship. Recently, an SMX victory came after an incredible season. Here he dominated by winning five of the six Motos in the SMX Playoffs. This also included the final race.

She even took to Instagram and posted a story about her baby brother making it to the top. The post read, “Made the trip out to Vegas to watch @dangerboydeegan win the championship 🙌 @monsterenergy”. Given that the siblings belong to the legacy of Brian Deegan who is a motorsport prodigy, it seems as though making history is a unique trait of the bloodline.
