Tony Stewart’s Superstar Racing Experience welcomed another big name on board for its debut season. Hailie Deegan is set to join the new racing league as one of the guest drivers, and the young NASCAR driver is expected to make an appearance at Knoxville Raceway.
Deegan confirmed the development through an Instagram post. The 19-year-old was seen posing for a picture alongside the SRX car and the league’s co-founder Ray Evernham, who is a legendary NASCAR crew chief.

Evernham gave his thoughts on the new signing and welcomed Deegan to the SRX team. Deegan is not one of the full-time drivers and will race as a ‘ringer driver’ and make occasional appearances.

An Instagram story from Knoxville Raceway revealed that Deegan will race on June 19 in the SRX Series.
Will Hailie Deegan run other races too in the SRX league?
So far, Deegan is expected to race just the Knoxville race, which the second race on the SRX schedule. The event kicks off with a race at Stafford Motor Speedway on June 12.
The Stafford race clashes with a NASCAR Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Deegan is currently six races into her first season as a full-time NASCAR Truck Series driver.
The third SRX race, on June 26 at Eldora, also clashes with a Truck race at Pocono Raceway. Meanwhile, the June 19 race at Knoxville has no such clashes Deegan will race the NASCAR event a day prior, on June 18 at Nashville Superspeedway.

The David Gilliland Racing driver has had a tough start to the 2021 season. However, she has shown improvement in the last couple of races and her best finish so far this season (17th) came last weekend at Richmond Raceway.

Deegan has a lot of experience as a non-pavement racer due to her early experience in off-road racing during her initial years. So the Knoxville race will be quote a familiar set-up for the young driver. It will be interesting to see her race against some big names in the world of motorsports, in the SRX event.
