The world of NASCAR predominantly has been a male-dominated sphere, starting with the drivers to the technicians. But it is good to see that women entered into this male-dominated space and took their position behind the wheel as a novelty. These women surely broke the shackles that society had thrust upon them.

These drivers who have been often termed “women racers” have clearly proved that there is nothing in this world they aren’t capable of doing. Since then, NASCAR has witnessed the emergence of the finest women racers that one could ever think of, and Danica Patrick is the living proof of such finesse.

And following in the same footsteps, the 2023 season has seen the rise of two women Truck drivers, who are surely grabbing the spotlights. And with the Truck qualifiers at Toyota 200, these drivers are clearly the talk of the town.

Hailie Deegan Gets Bested by Her Rival in the Quali Ahead of the Toyota 200

Rivalries have been a common scene throughout the long history of NASCAR, whether it was between Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano or Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. These on-track rivalries are what the fans look forward to as it brings out the best of the drivers in order to outdo the other. But more often than not, these rivalries are often restricted to the elite format of the Cup Series.

But things are eventually taking a different turn, with the two women drivers, Hailie Deegan and Toni Breidinger of the Craftsman Truck Series carving their path as racers. And in the past few races, there have been clear portrayals of their rivalries, when the Victoria’s Secret driver finished 15th, in her debut race in Kansas.

Fans soon took the opportunity to compare her with the other female driver on the grid, Hailie Deegan. And the same was repeated ahead of the Toyota 200, during the qualifiers. The rookie driver of Tricon Garage had a better session and ended in the 18th position. Breidinger also finished ahead of her teammate Jesse Love in the 20th position.

While Breidinger’s female rival, Hailie Deegan from Thor Sport Racing had finished a mark less than Breidinger, the news was posted on Twitter by a NASCAR fan who was clearly taken aback by the results and wrote, But I thought Toni Breidinger was going to be horrible.”

Even the NASCAR fans couldn’t be more surprised and happy for the Tricon Garage driver and hinted at the rise of another female driver.

A few fans wrote in the comment section, “She held off Hailie Deegan lol.”

“The Deegan hype train is dead.”

“18th wow so impressive”

Others drew the comparison between the teammates of Tricon Garage.

“Beat her clearly future star teammate, Deegan in her former equipment, and a KBM truck. Not saying she’s going to be a future star, she clearly isn’t horrible though”

While a netizen replied, “she beat him for two reasons, A shes raced a truck before, B she is in a seat that fits her better, shes about the same bw and height as jesse, jesse is a 150 pound dude in 190 pound dudes seat, otherwise i think jesse is easily 15th.”
