Bubba Wallace always seems to land himself on the news, which is not always positive. Last year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he was famously involved in a major tussle on the race track. As it happened, he was involved in an incident with Kyle Larson which soon turned into road rage when Bubba (allegedly) tried to wreck Larson. He escalated the situation further by getting involved in shoving Larson.
In the process, an innocent Christopher Bell got tagged and it was race over for all three. Upon reflection, the #23 driver regretted his bout of red mist when he brawled with Larson.
Wallace confessed on the NASCAR Live podcast, “Vegas, I overstepped boundaries, but still, both of us not showing enough respect for one another. In a way, we learned a lot about that. Even in our phone conversation. But yeah when you look at Vegas, Vegas was definitely a learning curve for myself and how to handle the situation. Just understand the moment that you’re in, it ain’t over yet.”

According to reports, Wallace was fined for his stunts, and he lost nearly $1 million. Team co-owners Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan were not at all pleased with the #23 driver. They also slapped him with their own punishments and the driver later apologized for his actions. It was a bit of a shame, considering that he had been in fine form up until that Cup Series race at Las Vegas.
Several months later, Wallace mellowed down and admitted that he still had a lot to learn. So far, his NASCAR Cup Series campaign has not been off to such a great start. This is because he finished 20th at the Daytona International Speedway and 30th at the Auto Club Speedway.

Obviously, the driver would be sorely disappointed with a sluggish start to the season. Nevertheless, he will be hoping to bounce back in the coming races. His fans argue that Wallace has the pace and has shown it on multiple occasions. However, he needs to put in more consistent performances, especially with new teammate Tyler Reddick breathing down his neck.
