It is rare to see NASCAR drivers get along with their fellow teammates on the race track. The competitive edge between the drivers often leads to a fallout that takes a toll on the team’s results. However, the pair of Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace seemed to have found a way to keep their competitive spirit aside and enjoy each other’s company off track.

The duo has learned to let loose and have a good time when not racing. A recent video shared by Bubba Wallace saw him taking a dig at Reddick, calling him “the shortest driver in the field” during a fan event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Well, it was not the first time that the 23X1’s senior driver bullied his fellow teammate during the event. Moreover, he even went on to tell him that he wouldn’t be able to compete against him if they competed in a foot race.

Wallace is known to keep his fans engaged with wholesome content or comments via his social media handles. This time around, he shared a clip from a recent fan ahead of the race in Las Vegas. This was a perfect time for Wallace and Reddick to let loose and indulge in banter. However, you’ve got to hand it to the No. 23, as he outshined poor Reddick.

In a video shared by Bubba Wallace on Instagram, he can be seen trolling his teammates as he came on stage. He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the shortest driver in the field”. The host then pitted the two drivers against each other asking “Who’s most likely to win a foot race?” Without any hesitation, he replied, “Me, my mom ran the track, I got the genes dawg.”

But Reddick was having none of his teammate’s claims and said, “Maybe I’ll have to try this one out“. Bubba Wallace sure was not playing around and asked the 28-year-old to compete against him to settle the debate. But soon enough, Reddick backed out making excuses about not having the proper kicks for a foot race.

The 30-year-old driver, for the first time in his Cup career, has managed consecutive top-five finishes since the start of his season. Driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE, he managed to steer clear of the late-race wrecks and the big one at the Daytona 500 and then continued to build on the same in his next race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Bubba Wallace, for the first time in his career, has managed a top-five finish at Atlanta, and considering it was two consecutive superspeedway package races, two top-five positions give him the confidence to play his cards right at the Vegas race. He also bagged a #5 starting position for the Pennzoil 400 event. Interestingly, he is the only Toyota driver who seems to have found a key to unlocking the new Camry’s potential, while other big-name drivers are still trying to find their way around the car.
