There have been a number of occasions where Truck Series driver Carson Hocevar built himself a reputation. As it turned out, he had a bit of a bad rap for intentionally triggering cautions. So during one Midget car race, cameras spotted him going unusually slowly. It got to a point where a couple of other cars tripped over his own car, and that drew the ire of fans. Some of them called him out for not pulling into the infield and being a general nuisance.

Whether Hocevar genuinely had issues or he stopped deliberately, is up for debate. However, such situations have occurred before, and he was even caught once. That was during the 2021 Truck race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he got black-flagged. To make matters worse, he was one of 8 Playoff contenders, so it was all the more gutting. The incident took place with 10 laps remaining in the race, and Carson Hocevar came under the scanner for it.
