The NASCAR Truck Series will be back very very soon at the Daytona International Speedway. In the buildup to the Truck Series race the GMS Racing team linked up with Reaume Brothers Racing. Furthermore, the outfit is fielding 21-year-old Thad Moffitt in the #43 truck at Daytona next weekend.
A delighted Moffitt said, “I am super excited to make my NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Daytona in the No. 43 Reaume Brothers Racing Chevrolet with team support from GMS Racing. Daytona is a track that has a lot of family history, and having STP onboard makes it that much more special. It truly is an honor to run the iconic STP branding on my Silverado along with my fire suit, and I am hoping to represent their longtime support of my family in a great way.”

However, the best part is that the team has unveiled a brand new paint scheme paying tribute to Richard Petty. Considering that Moffitt is Petty’s grandson, the tribute is a fitting one. This particular livery is a throwback to Petty’s 1992 STP ride, which is blue and orange.

What to expect from GMS Racing in the Truck Series?
It is worth mentioning that the organization has won the Truck Series title in 2016 and in 2020. Now, with Grant Enfinger and Jack Wood, they will be hoping to add a third title. Meanwhile, the Reaume Brothers Racing team has not won a title during its tenure, but they will be hoping to improve. Furthermore, Thad Moffitt is sharing his #43 ride with Chris Hacker and a yet unnamed driver.
For the moment, Moffitt is only expected to compete at the Daytona International Speedway. It remains to be seen if he will get a chance to run in other races. Meanwhile, Hacker and the other teammate will probably split the remaining races between themselves.
