NASCAR’s most popular driver, one of its most talented names, Chase Elliott, is not only a star in his sport but beyond stock cars and cars in general as well. The Georgia native is an avid supporter of almost all of the sports teams from his state, be it Georgia Football, the Braves, you name it.
And in return, those teams treat him like a darling. This was all the more evident when Georgia Football, the NCAA team posted their #WallpaperWednesday updates including the No. 9 Camaro of the 2020 Cup Series Champ.
Elliott’s Hendrick car was featured on the wallpaper that also included a reminder of Georgia’s upcoming game with Alabama for the playoff in Indianapolis.

But despite ‘the stars’ aligning rightly, a few fans took a dislike towards the particular choice of ‘car’ in the wallpaper’s background. This is because some fans felt that instead of a NASCAR, there should’ve been an IndyCar considering what the venue is.
Anyway, here are some of the reactions-
The cars in Indianapolis are a little faster than the one shown @GeorgiaFootball. You’ll need the speed to beat @AlabamaFTBL this weekend 😜 #HomeotheINDY500 #Indy500 #IndyCarCountry #YesImAwareOfChase 😂 https://t.co/v9saZQ37lQ

Chase Elliott utilizing offseason to further his racing horizons
While some drivers chose to relax in the off-season, Chase Elliott decided otherwise. He took the opportunity of this free time on hand during his holidays to hone and polish the skills he uses in his day job.

So far, Elliott has participated in the USAC Midget race on the West Coast, NRX Rallycross and he is now set to take part in the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals a week from now.
Speaking about his run of trying out new forms of racing, he said, “As you get older, I feel like learning new things is just going to be harder and harder and harder. So I just felt like if I was going to get involved, I needed to get in there and make an effort to do that.”
But there are a couple of things worth wondering – Will Chase Elliott ever decide to step inside an IndyCar? And if he does, will the fans realize then that he already raced at Indianapolis in NASCAR?
