As the Heart of America 200 kicked off at Kansas Speedway, one driver was eyeing a solid finish when all hell broke loose. Lawless Alan was on his way to the pits in the #33 Ford F-150, heading toward the Reaume Brothers Racing pit crew for a tire change. Unfortunately, this is when the 24-year-old lost track of his momentum and slid outside of his pit box. What followed was a horrifying sight that no team owner would want to witness.
Lawless Alan endangers his pit crew as Front Row Motorsports narrowly avoids Déjà vu
In a matter of seconds, the #33 F-150 headed directly for the right-front tire changer, Brandon Henry. The tire changer landed right into the #38’s pit box, where the pit crew helped him onto his feet. Over the radio, Lawless Alan was heard exclaiming, ‘I thought the #38 and the #33 were switched on my thing’ In what seemed to be a bout of confusion, Lawless Alan almost took out his tire changer for good.

Unfortunately, this blunder resulted in a horrific sight on the air as fans gasped at Brandon Henry’s misery. Veteran insider Bob Pockrass shared in a tweet, “Lawless Alan overshot box on last pit stop and hit tire changer Brandon Henry. Henry has gone to the care center to get checked. Front Row team helped them finish that stop and the Reaume team for Alan has a new tire changer for the rest of the race. Henry also does Clements in Xfinity.”

According to Pockrass, after taking a trip to the infield care center, Henry was checked out and released. Fortunately, the front tire changer was all smiles as he narrowly escaped a gruesome fate. Pockrass shared an update, “Lawless Alan crew member Brandon Henry was released from the care center. He gave me a thumbs up as he took a golf cart ride back to the garage area.”

In a freaking coincidence, Front Row Motorsports was once again involved in an incident that endangered a pit crew member. Fans with a good memory will recall last year’s incident at Talladega Superspeedway when Zane Smith lost control of his #38 Truck and sideswiped his tire-changer Charles Plank with great force. Fast-forward to Kansas, and this time around, the #38 team was the one handing out help to the Reaume Brothers Racing pit crew.
However, if Lawless Alan had a little more momentum heading into the pit box of his team in Kansas, Front Row Motorsports could have suffered a similar fate once again. Speaking of which, despite Henry (#33 crew member) narrowly escaping a gruesome fate, that certainly wasn’t the case for Lawless Alan himself, who was held accountable for his miscalculated pit entry by the fans.
