Toni Breidinger vs. ARCA loudmouth—who's in the right here? Is payback ever justified in racing?

The heat got turned up during the Sprecher 150 ARCA Menards Series East combination race when the #32 car bumped the #25 car. Christian Rose’s desperate attempt to pass left Toni Breidinger spinning out at the Milwaukee Mile. The two drivers then had an after-race altercation, which ended up in a possible payback from Toni.

The 1-mile Milwaukee track is an oval in Wisconsin that returned to the ARCA series in 2021, after 14 years. The Sprecher 150 is a 150-lap annual stock race held at this track. The race has been dominated by the #28 sophomore driver, William Sawalich, two times in a row. While Christian Rose is also racing a sophomore year, he still has much more to learn.

When the #32 car bumped Toni Breidinger’s car from the rear on the 67th lap, she got really shocked. But she still managed to keep herself from hitting the wall. “That was honestly a wild move by the 32. So I don’t know. I think that was.. I honestly didn’t say anything on the radio ‘cause I was speechless, I was,” told the 25-year-old driver to Frontstretch’s Michael Massie and Steve Leffew.

But the disappointment didn’t end there for her. Christian Rose then came up to her, trying to explain what he did and why. “Our intent is to try to pass as many cars as we can and when we’re on the lead lap, somebody’s lap down holding us up, it’s short track racing, you get the bumper move used. And if you can’t hold on to it when you use the bumper, then you might want to get out the way when you’re stalling somebody,”  clarified Rose.

This absolutely enraged Breidinger, and she called out Rose for ‘running his mouth’ by claiming he had nothing to do with her spinning out. When Rose reattempted to get his point through, Toni just snapped at him with the 8-word warning, “Now you have something between you and me.” She also openly challenges him that she’ll take her revenge on Rose in the next race.

She finished 4 laps behind the leader, while Rose managed to finish with just one lap gap. Connor Zilisch, on the other hand, finished in the runner-up. The #18 and #28 were untouchable in the race, with a 30 and 25-second lead from Lavar Scott’s #6, respectively.

“We’ll see what next weekend brings at DuQuoin. Had a lot of fun at Springfield. So, excited to be back on dirt and have some fun with it..kind of bummed that we didn’t have the run that we wanted today. But we’ll get him next time,”  concludes Toni, determined to get back at Rose.
