Denny Hamlin reveals the controversial tweet he almost sent during the early hours of race day!
If there’s one thing that the whole community can agree upon is the fact that the organization is going all out promoting its returning driver, Chase Elliott coming into the past race in Martinsville Speedway. While many fans are excited to see the driver back in action, not everyone seems to think the same way.
Denny Hamlin is certainly one among them. While the driver explains he loves the promotional bit, which adds to the overall race, he thinks that all drivers should be given equal treatment just like Elliott received.
Speaking to his co-host and friend Jared Allen, Hamlin shares the interesting notion of sparking controversy by tweeting his mind, the veteran driver says, “Well, you know, I you know what I was gonna do, um, race morning I was gonna tweet out, uh don’t forget Chase Elliott’s return tune into Fox at 3oclock, you know because my Twitter feed that’s all it keeps feeding me.”
“The algorithm, NASCAR, I don’t know what they spend on Chase’s comeback as far as advertising, man they were ready, ready for that comeback and um you know would just go, hey anytime they are promoting drivers, we are all in for it right?”
