Earlier this year, NASCAR suffered a big blow when M&M’s decided to part ways as a sponsor after the end of the current season. And now, the sport might be on the verge of taking another big hit.
A hit worth $5 million annually.
This is because Camping World, the title sponsor of the Truck Series, could end its association with the sport by not renewing after this season. Their run with NASCAR started in 2009, with the last renewal coming in 2016 that runs until the end of this season.

In fact, the CEO of Camping World, Marcus Lemonis, had reacted mysteriously to the news of M&M’s leaving the sport.
“Lots of change happening and I’m sure more coming,” Lemonis had tweeted.

Bold and innovative NASCAR is going in unexpected directions
In a recent interview, Steve Phelps, the President of NASCAR, described the direction the sport is taking after they renewed the Clash at the LA Coliseum for 2023 as well.
“We’re going to be bold, we’re going to be innovative, we’re going to keep mashing the gas,” Phelps said. “That’s been the success of NASCAR over the last two-and-a-half years, is doing things that are unexpected, going to places that are unexpected.”
Phelps added that the sport wants to get to a point where people commend their boldness instead of them being all about running races. “We’re really excited (about) what the future holds,” he continued. “I think more schedule innovation is in our future.”

“We’re poised to be able to continue the success we’ve had for our media partners, our sponsors, and most importantly from our fans.”
With that in mind, with Steve Phelps’ idea of a bold and innovative approach in mind, who do you think NASCAR will replace Camping World with should they decide not to continue?
