In every sport, fans have their favorites and the ones that they are not so keen about. The same applies to NASCAR, as people have their favorite driver and their least liked driver. So recently, Freddie Kraft’s venture, Couch Racing, asked fans which driver they would never cheer for under any circumstances.

Unfortunately for the 23XI Racing spotter, a fair number of fans were not too fond of his driver, Bubba Wallace.

The African-American star has been a divisive figure in the community in the past couple of years. People have been oscillating between liking him and loathing him. Of course, Wallace has his fanbase, who staunchly support him and cheer whenever he wins. However, there are many who do not like him at all, as a driver or maybe as a person.

Why do fans not like 23XI Racing star, Bubba Wallace?

That is a complicated question, and some answers to that can be fairly controversial. However, one possible explanation is that he can sometimes trigger wrecks that take out someone’s favorite driver. His actions last year, when he deliberately punted Kyle Larson, probably did not help his case either. Away from the track, Bubba Wallace really seems like a likable fellow.

He even has a fair number of friends within the NASCAR community. They include Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin, the latter of whom recruited him to compete for his team from 2021 onwards.

Of course, Wallace, like any other driver, is going to have haters, just as he has fans. So it would be wise for him to just ignore them and try to prove them wrong. Stunts like what he did with Larson in 2022 are not going to fly, and will only act as fodder for the haters. The fewer incidents he has, the less ammunition his critics will have.
