During the latest episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, spotter Brett Griffin said, “I thought that going into yesterday that Richmond International Raceway for whatever they call it these days was not deserving a two days anymore.”

“I was like we need one time because the spring was packed. Yesterday was not packed and we don’t need two races anymore.”

“But the fan experience they’ve got going on onsite is really cool. For Richmond, I thought it was a very good race we’ve seen in a very long time.”

Shortly afterward, Freddie Kraft said, “It was good, my concern is that everybody equates Richmond to Phoenix.”

“Like you try stuff at Richmond because you know you’re going to Phoenix. I don’t think it was a great race. I mean obviously, it was hard to pass. If you’re a NASCAR or racing purist, the reason why there is passing it’s because there are different pit strategies. Guys are on different tires, so they are coming and going.

“Like Phoenix, if you’re gonna equate that, there’s no fall-off at Phoenix, the racing is gonna suffer there.”
