During the podcast, Kraft said, “Bubba in the wreck there when it was raining, you know we talk about the rear end impact on these cars and obviously, we see whats onto Kurt right here.”
“Bubba said he just took a small shot in the back checking out for that wreck and it knocked the wind out of him”
“And he’s like how did that happen, I don’t understand it. Then, Denny, I think that was Denny’s first wreck, first real heavy impact in this car and I think it was he’s feeling the effects of, ‘okay I now kinda understand what everybody is talking about this thing.'”

Massive wreck followed by rain suspended the race during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona
During the final 23 laps of the race, the front of the pack consisting of Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suarez, Daniel Hemric, Justin Haley, and Chase Buescher managed to crash and in the process took out half the field behind them.
Amid the ensuing chaos, one lucky Austin Dillon managed to escape the wreck untouched and soon took over the lead of the race, only for the session to be red-flagged due to rain.

Drivers involved in the carnage were disappointed with NASCAR’s decision to not wave the caution flag beforehand, claiming that it would have avoided the entire crash.
When the race finally restarted Austin, Dillon managed to take the lead during the last three laps and eventually took the chequered flag. The race would definitely have a completely different outlook had the crash been avoided.
