In 2023, former actor-turned-racing driver, Frankie Muniz made waves in the NASCAR arena. To be precise, he has been performing exceptionally well in the ARCA Series for Rette Jones Racing. Now there is good news on the horizon for Muniz’s fans, as he dropped some cryptic news. On his social media, he announced that he had some 2024 NASCAR news to announce very soon.
It is important to note that he specifically said NASCAR plans. He didn’t say ARCA plans, so it could mean that a promotion is on the cards in 2024. Considering his incredible performances this year, it certainly warranted such a reward. Now the big question remains about where he will go in 2024. Conventional wisdom says that a move to the Xfinity Series or the Truck Series makes sense.

What are the options for Frankie Muniz in 2024?
Rette Jones Racing is a Ford-powered team, so it makes sense for Muniz to have some affiliation with Ford. In the Truck Series, all of the full-time seats have been taken, and the same goes for part-time teams. Meanwhile, in the Xfinity circus, there is one full-time seat at AM Racing in the #25 car. Another option could be a part-time gig at RSS Racing in the #38 Ford. Additionally, there are a few Truck teams who could run multiple drivers. Among them is Reaume Brothers Racing in the Truck Series, with their #33 or #34 trucks.

One thing is for sure, the future is bright for the 38-year-old. In his ARCA run, he racked up nine Top 10 finishes and had a best finish of 5th. Finally, he ended his 2023 ARCA Series campaign in a fine 4th in the championship. While he wasn’t the top rookie, he did put up a decent fight, even putting up five Top 10 finishes in a row. The Malcolm in the Middle star has always been passionate about racing and is finally living his dream.

The ARCA Series star will face several challenges
Of course, it is not so easy to just approach a NASCAR team for a seat. Drivers have to not only prove their mettle but also bring sponsors to the table. After all, no NASCAR driver can compete without sponsors backing them. Admittedly, Muniz and RSS Racing have insisted that they have not had any talks between them. However, it remains to be seen where the talented driver will go in 2024.
