2023 has been a year that saw the reunion of long-formed team-driver partnerships. But it also has been a year where sponsors have gotten themself into the mix. Justin Allgaier’s extension with Brandt Fresh Agriculture, Denny Hamlin‘s reunion with FedEx, and now, Trackhouse Racing’s homecoming with Worldwide Express (WWEX). Worldwide Express is NASCAR’s official logistics partner that began collaborating with Trackhouse in 2022. And as a rather comical recent announcement portrays, it looks set to continue gracing the cars of Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain in 2024.

Using a short play to announce the continuation in 2024, Trackhouse Racing made the best out of their social media handle and has fans overjoyed with the efforts.

The race that is coming up at Texas over the weekend is very crucial in a lot of aspects. The first race of the playoff’s second stage could potentially make or break the chances of all the 12 drivers in the battle for the championship. As the situation’s tension runs high in every garage, Trackhouse Racing decided to make light of the situation with their announcement.

WWEX has been their primary sponsor since the track test at the Pocono Raceway in May 2022. Featuring 11 times on Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez‘s cars in 2022, it will be doing so on 21 occasions this year. And with the sponsorship continuing for yet another year, the social media team did not want to miss out on a chance to turn a few heads. Making Chastain and Suarez enact a goofy play in which they prepared for a wild duel using taping machines, they made the announcement that has drawn applause for its jovial creativeness.

While the blue-black color had blanketed Daniel Suarez’s #99 Camaro first at Pocono last year, it had done so on Ross Chastain’s #1 car only at the NASCAR All-Star Race that came later. Maybe this was the reason for Ross to challenge his teammate with the taping machine. But either way, the duel can be considered won by Trackhouse’s marketing department.

In the logistics company’s maiden year with Trackhouse Racing, they had a dream run, coming up from sponsoring trucks in the Craftsman Truck series. Ross Chastain had put up consistent strong performances all season with 14 top-5 finishes and 2 victory lane visits. Finishing just behind the 2022 champion Joey Logano, he’d missed out on an opportunity to win the championship in his own maiden year with Trackhouse Racing. His teammate Daniel Suarez, on the other hand, had finished tenth in the standings.

Speaking in the aftermath of the season, Ross had said, “We came together last year and it just clicked from the start between me, Trackhouse and Worldwide Express. We had a lot of great fortune with the No. 1 team. The program is so much stronger this year thanks to Worldwide Express and all of our partners, and we are ready to continue the momentum.”

While the current year was expected to maintain the same caliber, it did not turn out so for both of Trackhouse’s drivers. With just Ross making it to the playoffs, the team faces stronger opponents bearing down on their chances. The #1 Camaro driver sits 9th in the ongoing season’s standings behind 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick as the race at Texas approaches. He will be hoping that the track in which his stint with WWEX began will favor him as he goes into it again with the renewal papers in hand.
