Joey Logano is a man of the people. On the track, he is an aggressive, three-time Cup Series champion, but once the firesuit is off, he is an incredibly sweet human being. Earlier this year, The Joey Logano Foundation contributed $250,000 to help with recovery efforts, after Hurricane Helene’s landfall devastation came to light. Logano also traveled to Western Carolina to provide essential supplies to residents, particularly helping them with their cleanup activities.

His kindhearted gestures were received with heaps of praise from the community and recently, he has added to his philanthropic reputation. In a recent post on X, Logano revealed a lovely gesture towards two victims of Hurricane Helene who lost their cars in the calamity.

Along with Ford, the driver has gifted two cars, both around $30k each, to Helene victims whose vehicles were lost in the natural disaster. The two cars are the Ford Escape and the Ford Bronco. The recipients, Anita and Alexis, were chosen by the alliance that the foundation had with the Children’s Hope Alliance and Least of These Carolinas.

Humble as ever, Logano didn’t accept gratitude from the victims of the natural disaster. “Don’t thank me. It’s literally about our supporters at the foundation. Takes a lot of people to make it all happen. Whether it’s our donors or people working, putting it all together. It’s a lot of work for everybody to do that. These moments like today are what make it worth it,” he said.

He said in his post, “Thanks to all those who help support the Joey Logano Foundation, and a special thanks to @FordPerformance, Huntersville Ford / Krause Auto Group.

Joey Logano was not the only NASCAR entity helping people out. Hendrick Automotive Group, Hendrick Motorsports, Sonic Automotive, and Speedway Motorsports also made sizeable donations to the cause when the Hurricane hit. “The impact of Hurricane Helene has been catastrophic,” said the chief executives in a joint statement. “Our organizations represent more than 22,000 team members across the country, with thousands based here in the Southeast and many with connections that make this cause profoundly personal. Our neighbors in hard-hit areas face immense challenges in rebuilding their homes, communities and lives, and we will stand alongside them.” More than 400 pallets of donated items were transported to North Wilkesboro Speedway for distribution to western North Carolina counties impacted by the hurricane.

In the aftermath of Helene, the NASCAR community rallied together to help the hit areas. Team Penske had partnered with Shell USA and The Joey Logano Foundation to boost recovery efforts. There was an initiative called Partners Powering Hurricane Recovery, where Shell, JPG, and PPG matched every donation up to $100,000.
