Bubba Wallace may have come short of winning the million-dollar check at North Wilkesboro on Sunday night, but it wasn’t long before he got a reward, which left him speechless.

Now, there were no changes to the race result, as the winner of the All-Star race remained Kyle Larson. But Wallace’s win came on a different platform, the Emmys.

Yes, Bubba Wallace’s Netflix documentary series, ‘RACE: Bubba Wallace’, has won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Documentary Series (serialized). And naturally, the 23XI Racing driver was pumped after the announcement.

Bubba Wallace left speechless after his Sports Emmy win

In the video he posted after his documentary won the award, Wallace claimed being an Emmy winner has left him quite speechless. “I don’t even know what to say, I don’t even know where to begin. Thank you to all the fans that tuned in and watched and all the people who are new fans just because of this Netflix series,” Wallace said.

“Thank you for making this happen. It all happened because of you. All the people that were involved in making this idea come to life, thank you. I was inspired by the Netflix docu-series, ‘Drive to Survive’, and we went up against it and beat it.”

The #23 driver emphasized that he “never would’ve dreamed” about winning such an award.

“When you have a group of people that share the same mindset as you, ideas like this can happen. So just want to say thank you for the opportunity, never would’ve thought it,” Wallace added.

This documentary played such a massive role in inviting new faces into NASCAR and I’m just so grateful for everyone who made it happen,” Wallace wrote. “Huge thanks to all the people at @netflix , @boardwalkpictures , @300ent , @prosportmgmt , @kevinlileskwl , @erikgparker , @23xiracing , and of course @nascar”

Interestingly enough, Wallace’s post was liked by Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy Earnhardt.
