In his NASCAR career, Kaz Grala reached the Cup Series at the age of 21, driving for Richard Childress Racing. However, he has only made limited appearances in the series. Now, the driver is on the verge of turning 24 but has already driven for various Cup, Truck, and Xfinity Series teams since 2016.

Now in 2023, Grala will add another team to his resume, namely the Sam Hunt Racing Xfinity team. What makes this even more special is the fact that he will be competing on a full-time basis. This will be his second season with the team, but his maiden full-time campaign in the Xfinity Series. In their announcement, Sam Hunt Racing revealed that Grala is piloting the #26 Toyota.

What did the NASCAR Xfinity Series driver say?
Grala said, “I’ve scratched and clawed for each opportunity over the past several seasons, and while it hasn’t been easy, it’s made me appreciate this sport and its difficulty more than I ever could have if things had been easy. I feel like everything has finally come together at the perfect time in my life. With the right team around me to start that next chapter in my career. I couldn’t be more proud and hopeful heading into 2023 with Sam Hunt Racing. With a chance to compete for a championship. I’ve worked my whole life to get to this point, and I intend to make the absolute most of it next year and beyond.”
In terms of his Cup career, Grala managed to impress with his skills on road courses. He was also an excellent substitute driver for Richard Childress Racing when Austin Dillon was unwell. The best part was that he finished in an excellent seventh place at the Daytona road course. Incidentally, that race happened to be his Cup Series debut. Aside from RCR, he raced for Kaulig Racing and, more recently, Floyd Mayweather‘s The Money Racing Team.
