You read it right, Mayweather’s team is back with another surprise driver. They will bring the Ed Carpenter Racing driver, to the Charlotte Roval on 9th October, for the final race of the Round of 12. Of course, this is very big news. Because not only is The Money Racing Team back, but they bring an IndyCar driver with them, too!
Fortunately, everything worked out for both of them, as Daly’s IndyCar sponsor, Biltine will sponsor his #50 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

At the moment, it seems this is only for one race, which is the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, also known as the Roval. Clearly, the fans are caught off-guard, which will explain the very mixed reactions.
Really want to know what happened to not allowing drivers to make their debut during the playoffs

Excited to see Conor give NASCAR a try. It's a shame his equipment won't let him run better than 476th

I’m excited about this, every time he jumped into an @SRXracing car ice cold having never driven when he was fast very quickly and under control. @ConorDaly22 was a blast to work with…

Expect anything to happen. The playoff races have been roulette wheels of chaos and we’ve had no clue what would happen every race.

The backmarker NASCAR teams always seem to kill it with cool pain schemes.

This is pretty fascinating news. But what’s more interesting is Mayweather owning a team. of course, it’s not uncommon for celebrities and athletes to have their teams, as we have seen Michael Jordan bring his #23 to NASCAR as well, with 23XI Racing. And of course, Mr Worldwide, Pitbull, brought a whole new powerhouse to the Cup Series, competing in the Playoff in the debut with Trackhouse Racing. But why did the boxing legend want to have his racing team?
Floyd Mayweather has a reason for having his own NASCAR Cup Series team
There are two reasons for him to start his own team. But they are quite similar to Jordan’s reason for having a team.
Well, in short, it’s about his brand name, much like it is for Jordan, too. When he announced the team he said, “I love fast cars, and I love to compete,”, and “I know NASCAR will not be easy, but anything easy isn’t worth doing, to me.”

Of course, he stated the all-important reason for the team, “With that being said, this move into auto racing seems to be a perfect fit for the Mayweather brand.”
And it sure is a logical reason, because as a sportsman with a brand, it only makes sense to extend your reach to other sports. And with the growing love and following for motor racing, it seems like a sensible next step. And in the grand scheme of things, Motorsports is a glorified advertising platform with the fastest drivers in the world, sitting in the fastest cars built for some of the fastest racing out there.
