North Wilkesboro Speedway was always an iconic track on the NASCAR calendar. However, time didn’t show its kindness to the iconic short track, unfortunately, as the course was worn down and put out of commission. Enter superhero Dale Earnhardt Jr who helped bring the track to its former glory.
But in a recent turn of events, some horrifying pictures from the track emerged again.

Right before the suites and press boxes in the backstretch were demolished, the officials took pictures of the entire scene. And the freshly unearthed pictures show some scary scenes of just how bad the track had become.
But the picture that deserves a special mention is the 8th one.
As you can see, there is a chair pierced the wall pretty aggressively. And one fan joked about how it could have been the scene when Jeff Gordon won the race in 1996.
“September 1996:
FU*KING GORDON WON AGAIN!!!
wallchair”
Another fan agrees, “I envisioned this as well when I saw the chair like that haha. Someone smashing the chair into the wall because a driver they didn’t want to win a race won lol”
Others just laughed, “I laughed way too hard at the chair in picture 8”
“Can’t lie, I got a good laugh out of it too. That’s either a strong wall or a strong chair or both lol”
But one very creative fan felt it would make for an awesome cover to an Alice in Chains record, “First thought for some reason was an album art cover from the grunge era.
Edit: Alice in Chains – Angry Chair”
One fan memed it, too, “Wut the chair doin”
Clearly, the 8th image has created a new legend of the wallchair at the NWBS, “W A L L C H A I R”
