Denny explicitly shared his take when Jared asked, “What would you make of the celebration afterwards?”

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver seems to share the opinion of many drivers as he coined it as a “perfect storm”. Denny voiced his obvious excitement, while the latter seemed to have a fresh idea about the awkward incident.

Speaking on his podcast, he said, “Oh yeah, f**king car caught on fire. I thought it was kind of a perfect storm and you know the driver chat lit up when the, when the mud flaps went on.”

Further, he added, “I love they were em calling mud flaps now, uh when they caught on fire, I think it was kind of  kind of perfect storm cos the rubber was building up between the tire and the mud flap and it caught fire and you know they caught the mudflap on fire and then caught the truck on fire, so anything we do to get rid of those things, uh, maybe Zane gave us a little extra fuel for that fire.”

Even while he was elaborating on the whole incident, Denny seems to like the idea, sarcastically saying, “No pun intended,” right after mentioning his dislike.

“Let’s give credit to Zane as well, he held them in check the entire race as well, he was like 3.5seconds back and stayed that distance from those two the entire time so, it’s not like he lucked into it, so shout out to to Front Row, um for for putting a solid performance 2 years in a row for Zane and that team,” said Denny.

And Denny, being the old-school driver he is with 48 career wins, understands the nuances of the sport and clearly knows about the newer game plans implemented by teams and their drivers, capitalizing on refueling times and making the most of timely pit stops. All while he mentions how these strategies can outperform the fastest truck on the grid.
