In a move that’s sending shockwaves through the world of NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr, the “Financial Sound King,” has made a royal decree. The NASCAR legend has snubbed his flesh and blood, his nephew Jeffrey Earnhardt, in favor of a “punk.”

In a recent episode of the ‘Rubbin is Racing’ podcast, as ‘Spider’ and ‘Large’ pondered the cosmic problem of Jeffrey Earnhardt’s missed shot, we found ourselves wandering in the labyrinth of ‘what ifs.’ Could this have been Jeffrey’s golden ticket to racing glory? It’s a compelling thought, one that many fans, and even the hosts, can’t help but entertain. But, alas, Dale Jr seems to have his sights set on something bigger, something more financially prudent.

Seeing the empire the 48-year-old had built after retiring from the sport in 2017, it is safe to say that Junior doesn’t make decisions just based on feelings. While Spider and Large were all aboard the Jeffrey Earnhardt hype train, the Pied Piper of Daytona remained firmly grounded in the world of smart financial choices.

“Alright so JR motorsports, tabbed Xfinity serious playoff contender, guy that we had on here, Sammy Smith, as its new as driver. So beginning in 2024, this 19-year-old ‘punk’ kid, Sammy Smith, will ditch JGR in command the number 8 chevy full time,” Large stated on the podcast.

He further added, “He will be replacing Josh Berry who we know is moving up to the Cup, to fill Kevin Harvick’s seat, and then he’ll be joining Justin Allgaier, Brandon Jones, and Sam Mayer. So there’s be two Sam’s, competing as JRM drivers in the line-up in 2024.”

But wait, there’s more! Sammy’s No. 8 Chevy will be adorned with the banners of Pilot Flying J, TMC Transportation, and the Allstate Peterbilt Group. Talk about a sponsorship dream team! With those logos on his side, Sammy’s set to blaze a trail that even NASCAR veterans will envy.

Sammy Smith and Brandon Jones, the money magnets, now stand as the formidable pillars of JRM. But let’s not forget – they also happen to be fan favorites for their on-track antics. For Dale Jr, it’s a win-win situation.

“I love Jeffrey Earnhardt, don’t get me wrong, but I do think there’s probably better drivers that can get this seat, and I’m a big Sammy Smith fan. we look at Dale Jr, I’m begging him to go cup racing, but the one problem is he’s a financial sound king.” Spider stated.

He further added, “He only does smart financial decisions, and two of those, in my opinion, are Sammy Smith and Brandon Jones, two guys who bring in immense sponsorship to the team and kind of shore up things for JRM in terms of sponsorship. So I think it’s a good move.”
