Many had thought that the biggest NASCAR highlight from this year would be the suspension of a former Legacy Motor Club driver for liking a socially triggering meme. Others thought it would be the same driver taking a smack to the face from the Melonman. Nevertheless, a month has passed since NASCAR suspended Noah Gragson, and it is just recently that he is back in the arenas of stock car racing.

Last year, Noah Gragson won the NASCAR Xfinity Series Round of 8 race at Martinsville Speedway and qualified for the coveted Championship 4 race for the first time in his entire career. But when Jimmie Johnson tied hands with Petty GMS, forming Legacy Motorclub, Noah Gragson ditched Dale Earnhardt Jr. for LMC. Recently, after his reinstatement, Noah Gragson made his long-awaited comeback.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. had a good thing going on with Gragson in the Xfinity Series, driving the #9 Chevrolet. Throwback to last year, Noah Gragson bagged 7 wins, 48 top-5 finishes, and 79 top-10 finishes, earning a name for himself in the NASCAR top-tier racing series. However, when he quit Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s team for Jimmie Johnson‘s, Dale Jr. was probably not quite happy.

But Dale Earnhardt Jr. felt like Noah Gragson could definitely come back for top-tier stock car racing. And that is exactly what he did. The fans witnessed Noah Gragson driving at the NASCAR Pinty’s Series last Friday at Delaware Motor Speedway. But somehow, fans could not help trolling Gragson. When a fan named Kasey Jones took a picture with Noah Gragson and uploaded it on Reddit, fans did not hold back in the comments section.

Referring to the staunch supporter of Kyle Busch that Kasey Jones is, someone said, “Why’s he standing beside a cardboard cutout of a Kyle Busch fan”

While another made fun of Noah Gragson’s throwing-up moment from last year at Bristol Motor Speedway. They typed, “Kasey Jones looks like he pukes a lot”

Kasey Jones had blue ripped jeans on, which seemed a bit too ripped for the fans to let slide. A fan exclaimed, “Did their legs get in a fight with a feral cat?”

Comments went back to Gragson’s puking incident; “Can’t be Noah. There’s no vomit on his firesuit.”

Someone even went to the extent of height-shaming Noah Gragson, saying, “Guys a hell of a lot shorter than I thought”

However, Noah Gragson did not seem to flinch at all. If one goes through his statement after NASCAR reinstated him, it would be clear how thankful Noah Gragson is and how changed of a man he is now.

Back at the beginning of August, NASCAR had forced Gragson to terminate all NASCAR-related activities for liking an inappropriate George Floyd meme. After almost over a month, the organization decided to bring the Las Vegas native back to racing and, hence, handed him the pass to resume his career as a stock car driver.

Noah Gragson was elated. He has been undergoing diversity and inclusion training with NASCAR-affiliated RISE, all this time. Now, he feels like he is ready for another chapter of his career.

He tweeted, “I want to extend my sincere gratitude to NASCAR for reinstating me. Past several weeks, I have dedicated myself to personal growth and reflection, and I believe I have become a better person because of it. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family and the NASCAR industry.”

“I am now more focused and committed than ever to representing my future team in the best way possible. I’m eager to get back behind the wheel and compete at the highest level, giving it my all on and off the track. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey, and I can’t wait to make the most of this second chance,” he added afterward.

Fans on Twitter, however, were a complete opposite to those on Reddit.

Someone wrote, “You have a really strong fan base supporting you. I’m glad you’re doing everything possible to get back in that driver’s seat. Good luck@NoahGragson, you’ll always be my favorite @Erik_Jones teammate!”
