As we passed stage 1 of the Cup Series action at Pocono Raceway, the 2.5-mile Superspeedway once again proved why it’s worthy of the moniker, The Tricky Triangle. With 3 restarts midway through Stage 2, the speedway took on a menacing turn, especially for the reigning champion, Joey Logano.
Going into the race eyeing a higher playoff berth, the Team Penske driver met his match when he spun out of control shortly after the restart.
Despite leading the early laps and winning stage 1, the #22 driver’s day quickly took a sharp ending with front-end damages to the Ford. Logano then voiced his displeasure explicitly as NASCAR’s safety vehicle towed away his #22 Ford along with the driver.

Despite winning stage 1, the #22 Mustang had to be towed away as the racecar was unable to fire. Furious with the spill Joey Logano vented out his frustration at the organization, mentioning how recklessly they towed away his race car backward into the pits.
Taking the driver along the ride for 2-miles after ending his day awfully, Logano expressed his displeasure with a pinch of satire when asked about the incident shortly, saying, “and that’s when I got drug (sic.) around the racetrack for 2 miles, I think we can make it a little better maybe I have a tow truck with some tiers on it and so put some tires, we could at least bring them back, it’s a bumpy ride.”
