A few days ago, the Stewart-Haas Racing team announced that it is partnering with a brand new sponsor; the team was joining hands with Mahindra Tractors. The brand will act as the primary sponsor for Chase Briscoe in the #14 car.
In a recent tweet, the Cup team compared the specs of their Next Gen car and one of the Mahindra tractors. Needless to say, several fans had a lot of fun trolling the team. They all joked that the tractors were just as fast, if not quicker than the Next Gen NASCAR cars.
Psssttt… don't tell anyone but the one on the right is faster 🤭

You know if the Mahindra were allowed to keep attachments, Im guessing it would win any race. A few laps in it would be the only vehicle on track that could still make laps. pic.twitter.com/cw907ZAiIJ

Wow. The Next Gen even outperforms the '20 Ferrari SF1000. https://t.co/sHzvyZugU3

The Stewart-Haas Racing team endured a disappointing 2021 campaign. This is because only Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola managed to make the Playoffs that season. Now, the two of them, along with Cole Custer and Chase Briscoe, will be seeking redemption.

Can Stewart-Haas Racing get back its form in 2022?
Theoretically speaking, they can definitely do it, as the outfit is a top-notch team. Last year, Harvick looked like a favorite to win the Cup Series title. Unfortunately, a slip up in the wrong place at the wrong time cost him a chance of making the Championship 4.
On the bright side, 2022 is a new season and a fresh chance to right past wrongs. The Stewart-Haas team knows that the Next Gen cars could be their ticket to success. It will only be possible if they manage to figure it out quicker than any of their rivals, and if all four drivers adapt better.

Naturally, this could be a tall order if their opponents get there first. However, Harvick is resilient and hugely experienced, and the other three are quite talented as well. So, they will be eager to improve their performances for the coming season and catch up to the Hendrick, Joe Gibbs, and Penske drivers.
