

NASCAR drivers wear their sponsors’ names on their suits, jackets, and even cars. This way, we know exactly who’s backing the team and who they drive for.
However, American actor and comedian, Robin Williams, said that politicians should wear jackets with their sponsors as NASCAR drivers do. But he had a great reason for it.

Robin Williams spoke about it in his 2009 television comedy special, “Weapons of Self Destruction”.

He said, “And if the whole health care debate — if you want to know how your congressmen and senators are going to vote, we should actually, maybe they should be like NASCAR drivers. They should actually have to have jackets with the names of all the people who are sponsoring them. Wouldn’t that be cool? Then you might have a clue to why the f*ck they voted that way.”

Essentially, Williams is saying that politicians should wear their sponsors so the voters know who they’re voting for. Do you agree? Because people on the Facebook post regarding the quote, surely do.

Sadly, the actor who gave voice to the Genie from Alladin passed away on 11th August 2014.
And on his 8th death anniversary, his two children, Zelda and Zak Williams, paid a heartfelt tribute to the comedian.
