Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr may have retired from the Cup Series, but he’s still winning fans’ hearts with his loveable and “nerdy” side. As an Executive Director at iRacing, a subscription-based online racing simulation video game, Dale Jr is always looking for new ways to improve the game.
In fact, Junior recently shared a teaser of a new partnership between iRacing and the CARS Tour, a late-model stock racing series. Moreover, it seems that the JR Motorsports owner is up to something new these days as he prepares for the upcoming partnership.

Dale Jr‘s wife, Amy Earnhardt, recently posted a video on Instagram showing him setting up his Computer CPU, with the caption “Ain’t he cute #dalejr #lovemygeek.” Fans were quick to show their love and appreciation for the nerdy side of Dale in the comments section.

A fan commented “When you gotta run the highest graphic settings on Iracing,” showing their enthusiasm for the upcoming Season 2 build. Junior does look cute in the video, with Amy pointing out “Ain’t he cute,” with “Revenge of the Nerds” soundtrack playing in the background. Many fans pointed out his nerdy personality with comments like “Dale Nye the Science Guy,” “You married Egon Spengler,” and “Does Dale watch Linus Tech Tips?”

Besides being an owner of Dirty Mo Media, Dale Jr, as the Executive Director of iRacing, is set to launch an all-new Late Model Stock car in March 2023, joining a lineup of popular cars in the Season 2 build. The new car will be used in the iRacing CARS Late Model Stock Tour, which is now the official racing game of the CARS Tour, thanks to a new partnership agreement.

iRacing’s Late Model Stock is based upon JR Motorsports’ CARS Late Model Stock Tour entry, which was championed by Carson Kvapil last year. The car weighs 3100 pounds, produces over 400 horsepower, and has fiberglass body panels to withstand short-track racing. Dale Earnhardt Jr played a hands-on role in the car’s development. Kvapil and JR Motorsports will debut the car on March 11 at Southern National Motorsports Park, one of the many CARS Tour venues currently available in iRacing.
