On turn 4 at the Darlington practice session, Ricky Stenhouse Jr spun out hard as his car slammed into the wall. So far his car has significant damages, and by the looks of it, Stenhouse will need a spare car for the Cook Out Southern 500. The team is working hard on the car, as this will be his last shot at making the playoffs.

In contrast to last year, where Ricky Stenhouse Jr started the season with a bang with his Daytona victory, this year he has had a difficult run, with his best finish being P4 at Talladega. So far, Stenhouse Jr has made it into the playoffs twice in his career, and by the way, his weekend has started, and it looks like changing that will be difficult for him.

This incident during the practice brought out a caution flag as the driver and car were rushed back into the garage. Luckily, the wreck did not come with any serious injuries to the driver, but the same cannot be said for the car. The team ran the No. 47 Chevy through the optical scanning station to check for any major damage, as they would like to continue to use the same car.

“Shocking,” said one sarcastic fan who, despite their comment, was not surprised to see the practice session going like this. This is only because Stenhouse often finds himself wrecking his car during some point of a race weekend.

This fan took things up a notch by saying that the post from Bob Pockrass was a “Scheduled Tweet.” The comment implies that Ricky Stenhouse entered the car during the race weekend with a crash on his schedule. This also means that news of Stenhouse Jr crashing is a reoccurring event that Bob Pockrass has scheduled.
