Last year, the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Talladega Superspeedway presented one of the biggest surprises. To be precise, home hero Bubba Wallace clinched his first win in his career. The driver braved plenty of wrecks and adverse weather to emerge victorious at the end. Now, it seems that his race-winning car has earned a place in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

What’s hall of fame about it…?
It was a rain shortened race where half the field was wrecked— MIKECAMPI81 (@michaelcomp) March 4, 2022
Bubba Wallace broke the news on Twitter, and he was utterly delighted. He said, “That’s not the Next Gen car. That’s the Talladega win car right there. Obviously, we all know special that race was. Unfortunately, before I get it in my hands, its going to go down to the Hall of Fame for a little bit. It’s going to be its new resting place, so if you’re ever in the Charlotte area, be sure to check out the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Check out the win car, how pretty clean it is for a speedway car.”
How did fans react to Bubba Wallace seeing his car in the Hall of Fame?
Admittedly, the reaction of fans was fairly mixed. While many were happy for Wallace, there were a few fans who still criticized the manner in which he won that particular race. On that day, from 19th on the grid, he scythed his way up the order and found himself in the lead when the race was stopped.
I was there! Took this before we ran back to the truck to leave because the rain was pouring and there was no resuming that race. Then nascar held off for a long time before officially calling it but the rain pick up big time. Well deserved. You are a good plate driver! pic.twitter.com/MSo4dXvnom

Laughing at the reply’s saying it was because of a rain delay or it was given to him. people forget he raced his ass off to be P1 at the right time while the whole field knew rain was coming. Well deserved win 🏁

As per another response, “Amazes me how people want to say that all the “good drivers” got caught in a wreck. I’d say a good driver can avoid a wreck…or cause a wreck…or get caught up in a wreck lol. Everyone was racing to be 1st and he beat them. A win is a win.”
Didn’t you win on a rain delay?

However, some still maintain that without the red flag, he would not have lasted long as the race leader. Some suggested that the then Chip Ganassi Racing driver, Kurt Busch, would have won it instead. Busch himself finished in 4th place, with Penske duo, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano between himself and Wallace. Earlier last month, Bubba Wallace almost won the Daytona 500, which could have silenced his critics.
